The Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) champions competition for growth and choice. Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director (Strategic Planning)
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning, you will assist in driving and coordinating the corporate planning process, as well as facilitating the setting of CCS’ corporate priorities, initiatives and targets. You will work closely with all divisions to ensure their respective Divisional work plans are aligned with the overall corporate strategic thrusts. You will monitor performance measures and track workload indicators, and report them to the senior management.
In addition, you will also participate in the formulating and implementing of the CCS’ international policies and strategies including engagement in regional and international fora. The role includes acting internationally to safeguard and advance Singapore interest in respect of competition matters, forging strategic bilateral/multilateral engagements and enhancing Singapore’s standing at various international competition forums.
Requirements:
- Good honours degree in any discipline from a recognised
- At least 3-5 years of relevant corporate planning and policy development experience in the public sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong conceptualisation, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently
- Occasional overseas travel required

Legal Counsel
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director (Legal & Enforcement), you will assist in the Commission’s enforcement of the Competition Act against cartels, dominant companies that abuse their position and mergers which substantially lessen competition. You will have the opportunity to participate in dawn raids, work on policy matters and law reform relating to competition law, and represent the Commission in the Courts and Tribunals, as required. You may also have the opportunity to work on Free Trade Agreements and represent the Commission in international fora.
Requirements:
- Good law degree from a reputable university
- Called to the Singapore Bar
- Preferably one to three years of Post-Qualified Experience
- Economics qualifications is an added advantage
- Analytical, independent and self-motivated
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
